Darren (from Hefner) insists on not liking the recording of this album. I'm rather fond of it, it's very stripped down, a lot was recording in one take the band played and sung at the same time. The result gives it a lot of character. It's not just charm though, the drums in particular are really well recorded with plenty of detail and impact.
